[<o>] European domestic seasons are over. All that's left to give out now is the big prize.

A classic Germany vs. England matchup awaits in the Champions League Final. It's an apt reminder of what this game will be—all-out war. Come Saturday, 11 men wearing blue will line up on the field in Munich against 11 men wearing red, and they will battle until only one team is left standing.

For now, all we can do is speculate. We listen to the coaches and players talk; we try to figure out what's going through their minds in preparation for the final.

But this is all talk. It's all conjecture.

The only thing that matters is the game.

[<o>] Home Sweet Home

Bayern Munich has been allowed by UEFA to use its home changing room on Saturday instead of using one of the two "neutral" rooms. However, because it's supposed to be a neutral match, Bayern has been given the same ticket allocation as Chelsea.
Still, being in familiar surroundings will help make Bayern more comfortable in a high-pressure final.

[<o>]Chelsea Hurting

Roberto Di Matteo is hoping he won't have to put all reserve-team members on the bench Saturday, with John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Raul Meireles and Ramires all suspended for the final, and David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Florent Malouda all struggling to recover from injury in time for the game.

Whether they are available on Saturday could make a difference in the later stages of the final.

[<o>] Bayern Needs Quick Recovery

While the Bavarians are in good physical condition heading into the game against Chelsea, Bayern's 5-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal final has at least one person concerned about its mental health: Oliver Kahn.

A second final just a week after that setback could be good to get it out of the players' minds, but it could be bad if they dwell on the defeat and on what it means about their form and ability.

[<o>] Quote of the Week: Roberto Di Matteo on His Future

The result of the Champions League Final could decide whether Roberto Di Matteo stays on as Chelsea manager next season. Of course, the Blues boss told reporters that all he's thinking about is this game, but he did offer another tidbit about his possible future.

Talking about whether he would go back to West Brom, the club that fired him last year, he told reporters (from Reuters):

Prediction: Bayern Munich wins 2-0

All things considered—home-field advantage, injuries, suspensions and form—Bayern has the upper hand in this game already. Being at home is a big boost for a number of reasons, the biggest of which is the comfort of the normal game-day routine. Chelsea's suspended players (especially John Terry) will be harder to replace than Bayern's.

Finally, Bayern's defeat in the DFB-Pokal Final will have served as a reminder that the club is not invincible, and it will push players to work as hard as possible in the buildup to, and during, the game against Chelsea.

It almost feels like Bayern is destined to win this game.
